We’re Hiring: Assistant Director of Development

The Assistant Director of Development is a hands-on role responsible for managing and executing core fundraising activities at Grace Care Center Foundation, focusing on donor systems, communications, corporate partnerships, and fundraising campaign support.

Working closely with the CEO, this role is expected to own key systems and processes and be a visible, engaging presence within the Grace Care Center and Central Indiana communities to strengthen relationships and sustain revenue.

Job Title: Assistant Director of Development

Location: On-site (Noblesville, IN) with limited remote flexibility

Reports To: CEO, Grace Care Center Foundation

Status: Full-Time

Salary range: Starting at $50,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications

About Grace Care Center Foundation:

Grace Care Center Foundation builds and engages a community of donors and volunteers to support Grace Care Center’s mission of ending poverty in Central Indiana through relationship-driven giving and service.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Development Operations & Donor Management (30%)

  • Own and manage donor database systems, including Bloomerang CRM and Donorbox

  • Ensure timely and accurate gift processing, acknowledgments, and reporting

  • Maintain clean, organized donor records to support strong relationship management

  • Support and co-execute annual fundraising campaigns (e.g., Stock the Shelves, year-end campaign)

  • Manage grant pipeline, including tracking deadlines, submissions, and reporting

  • Glean and share regular insights on donor behavior, engagement trends, and campaign performance to support strategic decision-making.

Communications & Donor Engagement (30%)

  • Plan and execute email and digital communications that engage donors and drive participation

  • Create clear, compelling content aligned with brand and mission

  • Monitor performance and adjust approach based on engagement data

  • Ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging across platforms

Corporate Giving & Partnerships (25%)

  • Lead the development, execution, and growth of the corporate giving program, including building and managing relationships with a portfolio of corporate donors and sponsors

  • Coordinate sponsorship outreach and fulfillment for events and initiatives

  • Track engagement and revenue from corporate partners, with a goal of long-term growth

Events, Community Engagement & Board Support (15%)

  • Collaborate on the logistics and execution of 3–4 annual fundraising and donor events

  • Represent Grace Care Center in the community and at networking events, including engagement with organizations like the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce

  • Support Board of Directors communications, meeting preparation, meeting minutes, and materials (attending approximately 6 meetings annually)

Required Strengths & Qualifications

  • Passion for Grace Care Center’s mission and commitment to serving the Central Indiana community

  • Professional experience in marketing or communications, with demonstrated responsibility for executing email, social media, or digital campaigns using tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Squarespace, etc.

  • Experience with corporate engagement, community networking, and/or B2B relationship-building

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly, and take ownership with a proactive approach

  • Proficiency using workplace systems and tools to support execution and accuracy, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, calendars, and project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com)

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Comfort working with data, systems, and tools to track performance and maintain accurate records

  • Experience with donor databases or CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang) and online giving platforms (e.g., Donorbox)

  • Experience supporting or executing fundraising campaigns or donor communications
