The Grace Care Center Foundation Receives Power to the Parent Grant
Eliminating barriers for families is at the heart of what Grace Care Center and the Grace Foundation do. We strive to offer support in several ways so that Central Indiana families can get the help they need now to create stability for the future.
This work was recently recognized by the United Way of Central Indiana. Their Parent Advisory Council has selected the Grace Care Center Foundation as the recipient of a grant through the Power to the Parent Fund!
About the Power to the Parent Fund Grant
These Power to the Parent Fund grants were awarded to 12 nonprofits in our region that “help eliminate barriers for families and support child care, housing, mental health, and mentorship for Hoosiers across the region.”A total of $235,000 in grants was awarded by the United Way of Central Indiana’s Parent Advisory Council through the Power to the Parent Fund this year. The Council selected four areas of need they wanted to address, including child care support, housing support, mental health and mentorship, and eliminating emergent barriers for families.
The 2026 Power to the Parent Fund grant for the Grace Care Center Foundation totals $20,000!
How this Grant Helps Central Indiana Families
The funding from this United Way grant will help Grace Care Center enhance our barrier-breaking programs. Our services aim to give Central Indiana families tools and resources that help them build independence and create lifelong changes.
These programs include the Choice Food Pantry, which provides families with access to food through a unique, grocery-store-style model that allows each family to choose their groceries. Our free English classes, another program, help expand employment and education opportunities for individuals. And our Co-op further reduces barriers by providing financial coaching, mentorship, and more.
