Fill the Gaps Left by Indiana SUN Bucks this Summer

This summer, hundreds of thousands of Indiana children may go hungry.

Low-income families often have access to free or reduced-price school meals during the school year. In 2024, Indiana SUN Bucks (aka Summer EBT) provided 600,000+ children with $120 in grocery benefits for the summer–totalling more than $70 million in federal funding.

But SUN Bucks support isn’t available in Indiana this year.

Families here in Central Indiana are already feeling the strain of high food prices. Without this benefit to help bridge the gap when school meals aren’t available, they will have to stretch their limited grocery budgets even further.

At Grace Care Center, we’re stepping in to fill these gaps with trusted programs like our Choice Food Pantry, Mobile Food Pantry, and wraparound support services. Our goal is to provide our families with additional points per week, to be used towards nutritious food choices that would otherwise be missed.

We’re prepared to be the solution, but we need sustainable support to do so.

That’s where the Care Center Collective comes in. This growing community of donors who believe in showing up, month after month, makes it possible for us to plan ahead and respond faster.

Monthly donors are the constant that helps people shop with points in a grocery-style pantry, access interest-free loans, and move forward with dignity and choice, no matter what challenges they are facing.

Government aid changes. Crisis relief fades. The Care Center Collective provides the safety net that stays in place.

Will you join us and be part of the solution?

We’re looking for 50 donors to join the Collective at $10 per month. While this may not seem like a lot, it will join with others to power thousands of meals for children and families.

The Grace Care Center is stepping up. Set up your monthly gift today and join us.

Thank you for being a part of the solution. Your ongoing support will fill the gaps for kids this summer and beyond, ensuring no child goes hungry.
