Collective + Coffee Recap
Grace Care Center is stepping into the future with intention. Everyone Matters
Big missions are built on small, everyday choices. How we treat people. How we listen. Who we notice.
At Grace Care Center, those choices are guided by a set of shared values that shape how we show up in our community. As part of our new strategic plan, we’ve named five values that reflect who we are and who we’re committed to becoming. Over the next few months, we’ll be unpacking each one.
We’re starting with our first value: Everyone matters.

Until recently, the Co-op has been open to Care Center Friends on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings. With the help of our donors, volunteers, and partners, we have officially added a Monday evening option!

Lilly Employees Volunteer at Two Mobile Food Pantry Stops
One day each year, Lilly employees from around the world volunteer their time and give back to their communities. They call this the Lilly Global Day of Service.
This year’s Global Day of Service fell on September 25, when Lilly partnered with Grace Care Center to sponsor two Mobile Food Pantry stops in the Indianapolis area.
There are several local communities where Lilly is actively working to lower astronomical rates of diabetes. One way this can be done is by consuming nutritious food – but not everyone has access to groceries, much less healthier choices.

Fill the Gaps Left by Indiana SUN Bucks this Summer
This summer, hundreds of thousands of Indiana children may go hungry.
Low-income families often have access to free or reduced-price school meals during the school year. In 2024, Indiana SUN Bucks (aka Summer EBT) provided 600,000+ children with $120 in grocery benefits for the summer–totaling more than $70 million in federal funding.
But SUN Bucks support isn’t available in Indiana this year.
